Charles A. Connolly, Esq., Associate
Born June 30, 1960, Huntington, NY.
Mr. Connolly began his legal career around 1990 as a pro per (pro se) litigant in a federal court, business litigation matter involving his father’s business. With no formal legal training Mr. Connolly effectively litigated a federal patent, trademark and trade secrets case, ultimately with the assistance of counsel, to a favorable determination, before the Honorable Alice Marie Stotler, in the United States District Court, Central District of California, and through an arbitration before the Honorable Richard J. Beacum, Orange County Superior Court Judge, Retired, Arbitrator.
Upon gaining the experience as a pro per litigator, and with an Associate of Arts Degree from Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA, Mr. Connolly entered Western State University, College of Law, Fullerton, CA, and obtained his Juris Doctor degree, December 1998 and was a member of Western State’s first American Bar Association, (ABA), provisionally approved graduating class. Honor Roll, Fall Semester 1995, Recipient of Director’s Scholarship.
In June of 2000 Mr. Connolly was admitted to the State Bar of California Bar and gained experience as a litigator with emphasis in real estate, association disputes, commercial and residential landlord tenant transactions and disputes, boundary disputes, lease option negotiations and litigation, business litigation and probate litigation matters.
In around the year 2001 Mr. Connolly became involved representing a restaurant business client with interests in Hawaii, Las Vegas, Nevada, Florida and other mixed- use resort locations which lead to Mr. Connolly to applying for admission to the Hawaii State Bar.
In May of 2006 Mr. Connolly was admitted to the Hawaii State Bar and has worked and established relationships within the Hawaii legal community.
In August 2007, Mr. Connolly joined Borchard & Callahan, bringing some of his established client base with him to this very well established law firm, and, with the goal to continue to serve and to provide his and the firm’s commitment to providing our clients with aggressive, professional and ethical legal representation.
